He leaves to carry on his legacy: his wife, Claudette D. Though Felix has gone to exchange this earthly life for his heavenly reward, a host of loved ones remain behind to treasure a lifetime of rich, fond, and happy memories shared. She was a dedicated homemaker and caregiver for Felix during their marriage. He joined Union Bethel AME Church at a young age, and continued until he could no longer attend due to his illness.įelix was married to his travelling partner, and best friend, Claudette Cannady, in August 2008. After retirement, Felix enjoyed travelling with the Odyssey Club and walking daily.įelix was proud to acknowledge having received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Felix went on to enjoy a fulfilling 34-year career as an employee of R.J.Reynolds Tobacco Company before retiring in 1989. Following his army service, Felix began work with R.J.Reynolds Tobacco Company. ![]() He was honorably discharged as a Corporal of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his eight treasured siblings: Makeba Henry, Alice Henry, Samuel Lee Henry, Willie Mae Henry Kirby, Augusta Henry, John C. A Winston-Salem native, Fred was born on January 16, 1932, in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Felix and Venetia Henry. Felix Henry, devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend peacefully departed this earthly journey and took his heavenly flight on the evening of April 27, 2023, at the grateful age of 91.
